Whether you’re planning a school residential, youth group trip, DofE expedition, family getaway or something a little different, there’s a place to stay that suits you.

Self-Catering Lodges

Our lodges provide comfortable, practical accommodation for groups, with bedrooms, bathrooms, fully equipped kitchens and communal lounges. For school residentials, catering can be included as part of your stay, while youth groups, Guides, Scouts and other groups can make use of the self-catering facilities and enjoy the flexibility of catering for themselves. Weavers Lodge is a spacious and flexible group accommodation option, sleeping up to 38 people.

The lodge has four dormitories with eight bunks in each, plus two private ensuite bedrooms sleeping three people each. Guests have access to four bathrooms, two activity rooms for games and socialising, a comfortable front room with sofas, and a dining room with tables and chairs.

The large, fully equipped self-catering kitchen includes cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery, while a drying room/boot room makes it ideal for outdoor groups. Weavers Lodge has step-free access and includes accessible sleeping, toilet and bathroom facilities. If you have specific access requirements, please get in touch and we’ll be happy to discuss how we can best accommodate your group.

All bunks are provided with mattresses, but guests will need to bring their own bedding, including a sheet and duvet or sleeping bag, and pillows.

A clean, eco-conscious and modern base, Weavers Lodge is all about bringing groups together, with the space and facilities you need for a great stay at Blackland Farm.

Restrop Lodge is a cosy, traditional group lodge offering comfortable accommodation for up to 25 people, with a warm and welcoming feel that makes it a great base for school trips, youth groups and organised stays.

The lodge has a 22-bed dormitory alongside a separate bedroom for three, giving group leaders their own space while keeping everyone together under one roof. A shared self-catering kitchen provides everything you need to prepare meals, while the communal lounge offers a comfortable space to relax, socialise and unwind after a day outdoors.At the heart of the lounge is a log burner, adding to the lodge’s cosy, traditional character. The lodge also has shared shower, toilet and wash basin facilities.

All bunks are provided with mattresses, but guests will need to bring their own bedding, including a sheet and duvet or sleeping bag, and pillows.

A simple, comfortable and characterful base, Restrop Lodge is all about bringing groups together, with the space and facilities you need for a great stay at Blackland Farm.

Please note, for mixed gender facilities, many groups book Restrop and Wagtail Lodge together.

Wagtail Lodge is a spacious, traditional group lodge offering comfortable accommodation for up to 30 people, making it a practical and versatile base for school trips, youth groups and organised stays.

The lodge has a 26-bed dormitory alongside a separate room for four, keeping your group together under one roof while providing a little extra flexibility for group leaders or participants.

A self-catering kitchen provides everything you need to prepare meals, while the spacious communal lounge gives groups plenty of room to relax, socialise and unwind after a day outdoors. The lodge also has shared shower, toilet and wash basin facilities, providing all the essentials for a comfortable group stay.

All bunks are provided with mattresses, but guests will need to bring their own bedding, including a sheet and duvet or sleeping bag, and pillows.

With its traditional character and generous communal spaces, Wagtail Lodge is a straightforward, comfortable base for groups looking to make the most of their time at Blackland Farm.

CAMPING OPTIONS

Get back to basics and enjoy the great outdoors with a choice of camping options at Blackland Farm. All of our camping facilities include toilet blocks with showers, toilets, wash basins, fresh water taps and washing-up areas, making it easy to enjoy outdoor living while still having the essentials close at hand. Whether you’re camping as part of a group, on a DofE expedition or simply enjoying a night under the stars, Blackland Farm has a camping option to suit you.

Make camping easy with our pre-pitched 5-metre bell tents, supplied by Bell Tent Sussex.

Set up ready for your arrival, they offer a simple and comfortable way to enjoy the outdoors without the hassle of bringing and pitching your own tent. Our spacious canvas bell tents are ideal for schools, youth groups, weekends away and anyone looking for a more comfortable camping experience.

There’s plenty of room to relax, sleep and store your kit, while still giving you that traditional outdoor camping feel. For an extra level of comfort, you can add
Bell Tent Sussex beds and other optional extras to your booking, helping you create a ready-to-go camping setup without needing to bring everything with you. Simply arrive, settle in and start enjoying Blackland Farm.

Our tented villages offer a great middle ground between traditional camping and group accommodation, with ready-made shelters and dedicated facilities to make group stays simple and sociable. They’re ideal for schools, youth groups, Guides and Scouts, and larger organised groups.

Woodpigeon Tented Village
Woodpigeon provides accommodation for up to 40 people across five safari tents, with each tent sleeping up to eight. The village can be expanded with additional tents to suit larger groups, and there’s also the option to add a commercial field kitchen, making it a practical choice for catered group stays, plus its own private toilet facilities and access to fresh water,

Nuthatch Tented Village
Nuthatch is a spacious, enclosed camping field accommodating up to 80 people across 14 shelters, with each shelter sleeping up to six. Additional tents can be added for larger groups, giving you flexibility to create a setup that works for your group. Nuthatch has its own private toilet facilities and access to fresh water, as well as a dedicated marquee, providing a useful communal space for eating, meeting and socialising. Nuthatch is a very special field as it's the original home of 4th Dimension who now operate the whole site, so it's made with love!

Both tented villages give groups their own space while keeping the outdoor camping experience at the heart of the stay.

For those who prefer to bring their own setup, our grass field camping provides spacious pitches for your own tents and campervans.
