Whether you're completing an expedition or simply looking for a peaceful place to pitch up and enjoy the Sussex countryside, Blackland Farm has camping options to suit. Our DofE camping provides dedicated campsites and facilities for participants undertaking their Bronze, Silver or Gold Award, while our public camping offers a relaxed outdoor escape for individuals, families and small groups looking to get back to basics.

Running your own DofE expedition but looking for a reliable, well-equipped campsite? Blackland Farm offers dedicated camping for external DofE groups, providing a secure and comfortable base for your expedition without the need to use our instructors or activity programme.
Our spacious pitches are large enough to drive vehicles directly onto, making unloading equipment and setting up camp simple and straightforward.
Groups have access to their own private toilet and shower facilities, allocated according to gender and age, giving participants a comfortable and appropriate space throughout their stay.

Our camping is all about getting back to basics, with large grass pitches, easy vehicle access and practical on-site facilities. Whether you're planning a weekend away, a family camping trip or simply fancy a few nights under canvas, Blackland Farm makes a great base for exploring the local area.

Please note, our campsite does not have grey water emptying points or electrical hook ups.

Activities can be pre-booked during your visit, giving you the opportunity to add climbing, archery, abseiling, bushcraft and more to your camping trip. We also have lots of additional extras your camp, including pre-pitched bell tents, camp beds, bedding, fire pits, fire wood and campsite supplies.
